Having lived and worked closely with both communities, Professor McVicar offers unique insights into how modern society and climate change are impacting these resilient cultures that have thrived in harmony with nature for millennia.

  • Student and staff session: 3:00pm - 4.30pm
  • Public event: 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Professor McVicar will be showing a couple of short films and describing the remarkable survival story of Scotland’s own Alex Ritchie- a tale of bravery and determination that remains largely unknown outside the Inuit community.

This is a must-attend event for anyone interested in history, culture, and evolving landscapes of the two Arctics. No need to book – we look forward to seeing you there!
