Strike Action - 5th October

The UNISON trade union has notified us of planned strike action at our Thurso, Dornoch, and Alness campuses on Thursday 5 October, which may involve members of support staff.

All our campuses and centres will be open as normal on Thursday 5 October during planned strike action by the UNISON trade union.

There may be some impact on campus services in Thurso, Dornoch, and Alness, because of the strike action involving members of support staff.

In particular: 

  • Opening and closing times may be restricted in Dornoch. We expect to open around 8.45am.
  • In Thurso, there may be a restricted refectory service. 

All other campuses and centres are unaffected, and teaching will run as normal.

The strike action relates to a national dispute impacting colleges across Scotland. We are disappointed this action is being taken and hope it can be resolved as soon as possible. If you have questions or concerns, please speak to your PAT, lecturer, or contact us via the red button.
