What is counselling and how does it work?
What is counselling and how does it work?
Counselling is a talking therapy provided in a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk about any issues or concerns. Our counsellors will listen and support you in exploring your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, giving you the opportunity to develop a better understanding of yourself and others.
The aim is to enable you to find your own solutions, whether that is making effective changes in your life or to find ways of coping with your situation.
Visit Thinking About Therapy? for more information on counselling and therapy. This useful website provides guidance on what therapy is and how it can help you; what to expect from a session, along with a host of other beneficial resources.
