Consultation launched on local advisory committees

Consultation on the remit of local advisory committees to support the work of UHI North, West and Hebrides, has been launched.

UHI North Highland, UHI Outer Hebrides and UHI West Highland will merge on 1^st August to form UHI North, West and Hebrides.

The college intends to form local advisory committees to ensure it continues to meet the learning needs of its local communities, providing local oversight and accountability.

Local advisory committees will report into the board of management of the new college.

Consultation is now underway on the remit, constitution, operating practices, and membership of local advisory committees.

Recruitment of members will follow the vesting of UHI North, West and Hebrides on 1^st August.
