Your working days will never be the same and you will have a sense of achievement as you see the difference you can make to a child’s life. There’s plenty of opportunities to join this sector as a result of the Scottish Government’s commitment to funded, early learning and childcare for all three and four-year olds. Start out on a career in early years provision or education and progress to becoming an early year’s practitioner or a primary or secondary teacher with a professional graduate diploma (PGDE) in English or Gaelic medium.
