Linocut – Printmaking
Linocut allows you to make prints without the need for a print workshop or complicated materials. The technique involves carving into a lino block with a range of cutting tools, to create imagery typified by shape, line and texture. You will print with black ink to achieve dramatic results, and also experiment with colour approaches.

You will be guided through the workshop with various exercises to consider different ways of looking and responding, thinking about colour, tone, mark making and composition. Suitable for beginners and others.

Collagraph – Printmaking
Collagraph prints are rich, textural and tonal and allow for lots of experimentation with relatively simple materials. Various materials are glued onto a card support, creating a collage. This is then sealed and your collagraph is inked up and prepared for printing which we do in the Taigh Chearsabhagh print workshop. To allow for the various stages involved and drying time, we have set aside 3 days for this workshop.
