About...

My Future, My Success is an initiative aimed at senior phase school pupils who have become disengaged in learning within the school environment and have poor school attendance and engagement. 

The course has been for designed school pupils to enhance existing meta/employability skills, gain additional SQA units at levels 3 and 4, meet new friends, and engage with members of the local community.

Delivery

Blended: Attend a combination of timetabled classes at your nearest college campus/centre or in an online virtual classroom as well as accessing online self-directed study via our virtual learning environment, Brightspace or Google Classroom.

Fort William: Tuesday 1000 - 1300

Available to pupils in: Ardnamurchan High, Kilchuimen Academy, Kinlochleven High, Lochaber High, Mallaig High

Dornoch: Tuesday 1030 - 1525 & Wednesday 1030 - 1445

Available to pupils in: Alness Academy, Dingwall Academy, Dornoch Academy, Golspie High, Invergordon Academy, Tain Royal Academy

Thurso: Tuesday 1030 - 1445 & Wednesday 1030 - 1445

Available to pupils in: Farr High, Thurso High, Wick High

Online: Tuesday 1230 - 1530

Available to pupils in: Ullapool High, Portree High, Plockton High

Where you can go... 

On successful completion of the course, help will be available from college and Highlife Highland representatives to assist school pupils progress positively onto the next stage in their life journey.  For example, school pupils may consider progressing onto a full-time course at an appropriate level or alternatively, school pupils may be interested in finding out more information about apprenticeship programmes, training vacancies or the world of work.  Assistance will be provided no matter what their next step.
