The course will allow you to gain skills in music technology and the use of digital audio workstations as well as giving an understanding to the music industry in the United Kingdom. You will study 4 modules which will also provide the evidence for Higher Music Technology.
If you wish to be entered for Higher Music Technology this will have to be discussed with your school before you start the course.

Course content...
Throughout the course, you will study:
- Sound Engineering and Production: develop practical and creative sound engineering and production skills which will allow you to use multi-track recording equipment to record and mix audio from a variety of sources.
- Creative Project: produce a project in response to a given brief.
- Music: An Introduction to the UK Music Industry : develop knowledge and understanding of the basic structure of the UK music industry.
- Music: Aural Skills: identify a variety of musical features within music; listen to music and identify intervals, scales, triads, chords and time signatures

Entry requirements
3 passes at National 5 (music would be helpful not not essential). Some understanding and interest in music technology and any media editing software would also be beneficial.
