Throughout the course, you will study:
Appreciation of Music
This Unit is designed to develop and broaden your knowledge and appreciation of different music genres by encouraging you to listen to and explore genres that may be unfamiliar to you.
Sound Engineering and Production
This Unit will give you the opportunity to develop practical and creative sound engineering and production skills which will allow you to use multi-track recording equipment to record and mix audio from a variety of sources.
Creative Project
The purpose of this Unit is to allow you to plan, implement and evaluate a creative project. You will be required to produce a project in response to a given brief.
Intro to UK Music Industry
In this Unit you will be given the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the basic structure of the UK music industry. You will learn about the function of the key organisations within the UK music industry and the relationship between these organisations.

HNC Sound Production (1 Higher Qualification required and performance interview) or progression on to degree level study or work in the music industry.
Entry requirements
You must have 1 pass at Higher level, demonstrate a keen interest in music and have a satisfactory reference.
