Work with us
CRTR can work with businesses, community groups and non-profits to help them expand or promote their tourism offering. Do you have an idea you want to explore? We can look for funding that would allow us to work on it with you.
For example, we can help you diversify what you offer, promote what you do, explore new markets, develop new ways to commercialise your operations, advise on the use of digital media, or undertake community consultation on your behalf. We have an impressive portfolio of consultancy activity and can draw on a large network of tourism businesses and organisations in our research.
Our clients have included:
- Thomas Telford Corpach Marina – exploring ways to introduce new regenerative tourism practices that would improve the products, services and experiences that they can offer
- Glencoe Mountain Resort – exploring ways to expand shoulder season operations
- Lochaber Geopark – developing a model for delivering a program of Geotours
- History of Highland Hospitals - developing and marketing a self-guided audio tour
- Royal Scottish Geographical Society - researching ways to raise more revenue and increase access to their archive collections

"The UHI group provided us with new insights into how we might take forward the ideas of Geopark tours and provided a clearer vision of how these ideas might be realised. Many of the ideas presented were ones that we had simply not considered and UHI allowed us new insights into how the Geopark might develop and diversify.”

“Jim and I would like to thank you, Katie and Kelly for the collaborative work on the History of Highland Hospital Inverness City Centre tour. This was an extremely positive experience for us, and the enthusiasm and professionalism of Katie and Kelly was fantastic. The final product is of high quality and initial feedback from users has been great”.
