What is special about this course?
National 5 Business Management serves as an excellent introduction to the world of business. This course explores how organisations operate and the strategies they use to achieve their goals. A key focus is on developing enterprising and employability skills. You will also examine the significant impact businesses have on everyday life, ensuring a relevant and engaging learning experience.
This course is also available as part of our senior phase offering for school pupils and home-educated learners. It is offered in the evening and is open to all members of the public.

Three passes at National 4.

How will I study my course?
- Part Time

- Online Virtual Classroom
- Tuesdays 6pm - 9pm
- Optional Tutorial 5pm - 5.45pm
You will learn online through timetabled classes delivered by a lecturer in a virtual classroom on Microsoft Teams. You'll use our virtual learning environment to access resources, complete assessments, and chat to your lecturer and classmates. You will have to attend one of our campuses or centres for SQA assessments.

If you are a school pupil or a home-educated young person, you will be eligible for a fee waiver to cover the cost of this course. However, any additional travel costs for exams or assessments will be at your expense.

Additional costs
Some of your assessments may require you to attend a college centre or other approved centre. This travel will be at your own expense but we will discuss these details with you throughout your application.
What can I do on completion of my course?
National 5 Business Management is a suitable preparation for entry to Higher Business Management. This in turn can lead to entry on higher education courses in Business or further study in other academic or vocational subjects.
