What is special about this course?
First Aid at Work (3-day)
A hands-on, in-depth 18-hour course designed for those working in higher-risk environments such as industry, manufacturing, or businesses with large teams, young people, or frequent guests. This practical training equips you with essential first aid skills to handle workplace emergencies confidently.
First Aid at Work requalification (2-day)
Keep your skills up to date with the 12-hour requalification course (over day 1 and 2), designed for those whose First Aid at Work certificate is expiring.
Entry requirements
Suitable for learners aged 16 and over. This course involves practical, hands-on training, and participants should be physically able to kneel, twist, bend over simulated casualties, sit on the floor, and perform CPR.
Requalification:
- Can be taken up to three months before expiry but no later than 28 days after.
Proof of current certification required.
Gain essential life-saving skills and knowledge, including:
- Understanding the roles & responsibilities of a first aider
- Managing collapses (with and without breathing)
- Choking and severe bleeding control
- Handling shock, seizures, and major illnesses
- Treating burns, poisoning, and anaphylaxis
- Managing eye injuries and using first aid kits effectively
Additional Forestry First Aid (+F) training is available for those in forestry-related roles.

What can I do on completion of my course?
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years. You’ll gain the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to:
- Repsond quickly and effectively to workplace injuries and medical emergencies
- Perform CPR and manage life-threatening situations
- Handle common workplace incidents, from minor injuries to major illnesses
