What is special about this course?

This 12-week accredited SQA course is suitable for those who have not previously studied Gaelic. Students will be given the opportunity to develop basic skills needed to communicate in everyday situations, and in vocational and professional contexts.

This online learning course allows you the opportunity to study at your own pace and in your own time.

You will learn online through a weekly tutorial in a virtual classroom with your lecturer. You'll use our virtual learning environment to access resources, complete assessments, and chat to your lecturer and classmates.

End of unit aural and oral assessment

Fee waivers are available for Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and NHS Western Isles staff, as well as parents and carers of children in Gaelic Medium Education.
