Local Advisory Committees

content

Our Local Advisory Committees provide a strong link between our Board of Management and the communities served by UHI North, West and Hebrides.

The committees help to provide local oversight and accountability following the merger of UHI North Highland, UHI Outer Hebrides and UHI West Highland on 1st August 2023.

The committees do not have decision-making powers but provide the board with advice and guidance to ensure:

  • The right learning is in the right place, to meet the needs of the local community and employers;
  • There's local accountability for the student experience and learner outcomes;
  • The college is linked into local developments, strategic opportunities, priority projects and partnerships.

Committee members also act as ambassadors in our local communities.

For more information, please read our local advisory committee terms of reference.
