Portree
Maggie MacDonald, Centre Manager and her team have been welcoming students in Portree for over ten years. Portree provides a seamless pathway from access level to degree across a wide range of subjects and a vibrant, busy learning base ideal for a creative community.
We offer a wide range of courses for you to choose from without having to commute or relocate. From distance learning degrees through UHI to part-time courses taught locally, training for businesses and leisure classes and a bespoke teaching space for adults with profound and complex needs, we have lots to offer and are sure to have something for you.
Our Centre was renovated and extended in 2013 funded by a £1.5M capital grant from the Scottish Government, a £590K grant from the European Regional Development Fund and over £250K from the college’s own reserves so it's a comfortable, modern learning environment.

Whether you’re a high school pupil, a recent school leaver, an adult returning to education, or a professional aiming to upskill or change careers, we offer a comprehensive range of courses. From access level to PhD, as well as business training and leisure options, our programmes are designed to support your academic, career, and personal development goals.
