North Uist - Taigh Chearsabhagh
Based on the island of North Uist our art studios provide an opportunity to study in the distinctive environment of the Outer Hebrides on the west coast of Scotland. Our islands are a hub for creativity and innovation. Everywhere you look, you’ll find inspiration – from our jaw dropping landscapes to the history, traditions and people that shape our rich culture and heritage.
Our region is home to a thriving community-based creative arts sector, supported by a collaborative network of artists, designers, and makers. Here, you’ll find a shared focus on sustainability and ethical production and artistic expressions inspired by our rural and island communities. We will spark and nurture your creativity, confidence, and ingenuity.
Located in the Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum & Arts Centre, students have the opportunity to attend exhibitions, artist talks and interdisciplinary events. Students also benefit from the opportunity to exhibit in the gallery spaces and make use of the professional printmaking and photography facilities.
